HISTORIC PROVENANCE

The Americana Black Coffee Table is inspired by a drawing of a table (ca. 1870–80) in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The design created by A. Damon et Cie (French, active ca. 1870–1900) shows an elegant table with carved trim and turned legs. The low, rectangular Americana Coffee Table takes those elegant decorative elements and brings them to life in a black-veneer finish.
